“Hush, my dear, lie still and slumber!
Holy Angels guard thy bed!
Heavenly blessings without number
Gently falling on thy head.”
A Cradle Hymn by Isaac Watts
Legend has it that this was the “birthing room” for the early occupants, and that legend is reflected in the decorations of the room. Located on the second floor of the main house, with a wonderful view of the morning sunrise, the Rose Room is a peaceful, quiet room with a canopy bed handmade by a local Amish craftsman. The comfortable love seat faces the working fireplace. The in-suite private bath features a traditional tub and shower.
