The Gathering Room
“Oh I have slipped the surely bonds of earth
and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings.”
High Flight by John Gillespie Magee
This truly is Ron’s room – filled with all of his books, models and memorabilia of his past career in teaching aviation and his continued passion for airplanes. It is the original heart and hearth of the Mill House – and the room in which our guests still gather to socialize and rest. Coffee, teas, hot chocolate and light snacks are always available here to boost your soaring spirits!
The Living Room
“Sometimes the light’s all shining on me
Other times I can barely see
Lately it occurs to me
What a long strange trip it’s been”
Truckin’ – The Grateful Dead
Pat, one of the Innkeepers, has filled this room with her memories of a lifetime – family photos, love notes between her parents, concert posters, her doll collection. It is a comfortable room in which to curl up and read a book, play a game, gaze at the fire – or just watch the buggies crossing over the Pequea Creek.
The Dining Room
“Good eating and drinking
Keep body and soul together”
Each morning in the comfortable sunlit dining room, we serve a hearty breakfast. Fine coffee and teas, juice, a fresh fruit dish, a hot breakfast entre and home baked muffins or breads are always on the menu. Here new guests will discover that one of the Mill House traditions is that we always serve dessert with breakfast! Candles, soft music and the companionship of the other guests make for a relaxing way to start your day.
